While the opposition is busy discussing the date for the next presidential election, the Minister of the Interior throws down the glove.

Minister for the Interior flusters the Opposition.

General Charles Rabemananjara, minister of the interior claims his department is ready to fight the presidential election right now. The Express writes,? General Charles Rabemananjara, Minister for the Interior and Administrative Reform (MIRA) has just put the opposition into a tight corner. ?Anyone wishing to participate in the presidential elections should have been prepared for this a long time ago,? said the general during his visit to Toliara last week. ?They do not need a specific date to get their campaign under way.? He added. Already for some time now, a goodly number of would be candidates have tried to get the government to name a specific date for the elections. While they would like to make it an issue of good government procedure or to push the government into naming those dates they would themselves like, such as the 22nd February or 6th of May but are they ready to face the consequences? The ex-presidential cabinet director for the military has hereby put the opposition candidates on notice, while visiting their own home turf that he is ready right now. In his incarnation as Minister for the Interior and for Administrative Reform, he is ready to go on the attack right now and intends to take the fight to their front door.?
