“Rajao”, the key figure in the movie saga entitled “Malok’Ila”, produced by Scoop Digital, is becoming more and more popular. His name is now associated with a project of cooperation between the governments of Japan and Madagascar through the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The cooperation is a five-year project, from 2009 to 2014, and works to improve rice productivity in the Central Highlands (Papiriz) of Madagascar, through which a film entitled “Voly Varin-dRajao sy Papiriz” (Papiriz and Rajao’s rice production) will be produced.
“Voly Varin-dRajao sy Papiriz” is a medium-length film of 34 minutes, produced and directed by Scoop Digital, and it will be played by some of Malok’Ila’s popular actors, including Tsarafara Rakotoson (Rajao). The film is an educational material on rice production to be distributed for free to farmers in order to sensitize the latter on improving their rice productivity.
The project intends to duplicate 10 000 copies of the film, including 7000 copies to be distributed for free with the copy of “Malok’Ila 10”, whose official release is scheduled within a month or so. The 3000 additional copies will be distributed by the Ministry of Agriculture.
