President Ravalomanana meets with the opposition

.Midi reports,? A beginning of a dialogue ? between the existing party in power and the opposition. The Express writes, ?Spectacular meeting between the government and the opposition in Ambohitsorohitra. Maybe Kofi Annan?s visit has done some good in opening this dialogue which started badly. The president has made a gesture toward the opposition by opening this dialogue under the eye of the international community. He met with the president of the  Senate, Rajemison Rakotomaharo, and Pastor  Richard Andriamanjato in his offices in Ambohitsorohitra. The meeting was conducted under the watchful eye of Bouri Sanhouidi, the coordinator for the United Nations mission in Madagascar.? Matera says,?This meeting has raised the hackles of some of the members of the opposition who claim total ignorance of this meeting and who ask why Pastor Andriamanjato has been designated the representative of the opposition? In fact, the majority of the opposition claim to have been left in the dark, received no invite whatsoever to this first meeting, and who think the pastor is a choice of the government due to his long known pliability to government politics.?
