Respect for Human Rights: Awareness campaign of Malagasy Youth by “Liberty 32”

On the occasion of the celebration of the “International Day on Human Rights,” a round-table focusing on the topic was held on Friday, December 9, in the compound of “Madagascar Development Learning Center” at Anosy. This event is celebrated every year and Madagascar takes part in it through the association “Liberty 32” which celebrated the event by conducting awareness campaign of young Malagasy during the round-table so that the latter could contribute to the respect of human rights in Madagascar.

Indeed, the human rights issue is being heard almost every day but young Malagasy do not really realize what it is in exactly. The event constituted then an opportunity for thirty young people from 10 secondary schools in the capital to share their opinions with others so they can contribute to this cause.

As explained by Rafitoson Ketakandriana, representative of the association “Liberty 32”, at the end of the discussion, the suggestions and remarks put forth by these young people will therefore be used by the association to help materialize their different projects.
