Pretoria II will probably take place. Basically meant to take place on May 15th, the meeting between the Malagasy political mobility chiefs might be postponed. Regarding the current run of events, all of the mobilities bound by the Maputo agreements might be in for it, in spite of reluctance from the authoritarian regime’s leader, Andry Rajoelina. The latter promised the end of negotiations with his political adversaries to his supporters following the failure of the first Pretoria stage, about ten days ago.
Andry Rajoelina was actually the single figure to display reluctance to attend Pretoria II. The other mobilities confirmed their will to reach a political agreement. The difficulties met by Rajoelina in his erection of a hybrid government are, however, still likely to influence his decision making.
