Two trips for Mauritius and South Africa were organized in February and March in order to inform stakeholders in the textile sector in Mauritius and South Africa about the organization of the Textiles Meetings of the Indian Ocean. This event will take place in Antananarivo from April 4 to 6, 2011. The three-days event is organized by regional major clothing companies which got together to pool their costs and performances in order to meet European market expectations and standards.
In partnership with Cap-Dev, the event will be organized by Text’île Mada. It will bring together all textile industry stakeholders of the Indian Ocean islands. Actually, entrepreneurs, professional training institutes such as the Fashion Design Institute of Mauritius, the Fashion Design Academy of South Africa, professional organizations such as SATIEC and MEXA, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI Mauritius and CCI Johannesburg) will be present.
Given the quality of the guests and also the presence of some decision-makers from Europe, from South Africa, from Mauritius and other countries, this even is a real business opportunity for the local textile sector. The event’s schedule includes workshops, debates and conferences between textile operators from the different participating countries.
