The thermal cure center of Antsirabe capable of treating different kinds of diseases

Established since 1925, the National Center of thermo-crenotherapy of Antsirabe carries out preventive and curative treatment of diseases like rheumatism, arthritis, postoperative infections, articulation problems, stress, hormonal and neurological disorder. These treatments last, in general, 20 days per patient.

Talking about their process of receiving patients, Lisy Rasoanomenjanahary, the chief doctor of the center, said that “mineral water constitutes their only raw material. Here, every patient must take a clinical consultation before being treated. It is absolutely a modern medicine. After the daily-based 20 days treatment in the center, the patient is recommended to perform a clinical consultation every 3 months, 6 months, and every year.” The temperature of the water may vary, between 34°C and 37°C, from one patient to another, depending on their health status. Having 55 employers and 14 volunteers, the center can receive 200 patients per day, with an average rate of 400 patients per month. But this number has slightly decreased since the beginning of the political crisis in Madagascar.
