An official demand has been addressed to the capital city's authorities in view of a demonstration of the three political mobilities against the HAT inside the Mahamasina stadium.

The three mobilities are planning to demonstrate inside the Mahamasina stadium

Avoiding the street and, for the time being, find a neutral place is the creed adopted by the Marc Ravalomanana, Didier Ratsiraka and Albert Zafy mobilities, though eager to express their reproaches against the attitude of Andry Rajoelina’s team, as it decided to set up its government, without endorsement from the other political parties bound by the Transition’s agreements and charter signed on August 9th in Maputo.

On behalf of the three mobilities, Albert Zafy had addressed a request for the authorization to demonstrate inside the Mahamasina stadium on Saturday September 26th. According to one of Albert Zafy’s proxies, the concern is to sensitize the capital city’s population on the necessity to reckon and to comply with the political agreements signed in Maputo and to implement them accordingly.

Therefore, other entities which subscribed to the idea will also be invited to participate in the meeting.

The demand has been formulated; although, scepticism seems to be prevailing. The members of the three political mobilities firmly opposed to the setting up of the second government led by Prime minister Monja Roindefo have, anyway, scarce hopes to get green light from the authorities.

The Magro square, baptized “legality” square seemed inappropriate to the three mobilities’ demonstration because it is too much reflecting the movement in favour of Marc Ravalomanana and of the exiled president’s return.

Finding a new location to set gatherings up is paramount. The latest attempt to access the place of democracy, in downtown Antananarivo, happened to be a failure. Its outcome was series of clashes between demonstrators and police forces in the capital city streets. Street demonstrations have, then, spontaneously emerged back and forth. And political leaders have, thereafter, been arrested.

Rather unwilling to repeat such kind of performance, the three mobilities are in for a new tactical move. Movement leaders are preaching pacifism. They are displaying a will for a lull before the holding of a new meeting of international mediators, programmed in Antananarivo on October 6th. Sensitization campaigns will not halt for so much though.
