Built there several decades ago, the portion of the national highway number 12 between the towns of Farafangàna and Vangaindrano, in the southeast part of Madagascar, is still in very good condition.

The trip Farafangàna- Vangaindrano, a lot of fun

It is a luxuriant vegetation which is glaringly obvious on this axis southeast of the Great Island. The approximately 70 kilometers separating Farafangàna and Vangaindrano provides an hour of pleasure to travelers. During the journey, you will discover different types of trees, to mention only the gravilias, famous ravinala, traveler’s tree, eucalyptus, without forgetting various fruit trees either wild or planted by the local population . Some times, you will also cross plantations of vanilla and coffee. The whole in a pleasant landscape with views at the sea, the Indian Ocean, which borders the East cost.

The villages are becoming scarce on this part of the island where the population density is quite low compared to other parts of the country.
