Tourism: local operators promise optimization in the next season

In spite of the enduring socio-economic crisis in the country and despite recent news items concerning the murders of French tourists, the tourism sector in Madagascar experienced a sharp growth since the beginning of the year. Operators in this sector recently talked about optimizing all the activities and services, namely security, for the next tourist season.

Besides, last Monday, the French Development Agency (AFD) allocated a grant amounting to 1 400 000 000 MGA to the National Tourism Office of Madagascar. This funding is part of the third program of trade capacity building of AFD.
