Zero road accident: main objective of the Breweries Star

230 trucks belonging to the Breweries Star Madagascar travel all over the island and make more than 11 million kilometers per year. And according to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, Francis Batista, for the Breweries Star Madagascar, human life has no price. For that reason, the company sets road safety as its top priority and its ultimate goal is “zero accident”.

To achieve this goal, the Breweries Star Madagascar signed a partnership agreement with the “Institut Superieur de Technologie (IST) of Antananarivo yesterday at Andraharo to show the company’s commitment in implementing road safety. The convention aims to train the Brewery’s drivers by the professional trainers of the IST. Total Madagasikara shared its expertise in road safety, namely in the transportation of hydrocarbons, in developing training modules that comply with international standard. Today, the Breweries Star enjoys the training with the support of from Total Madagasikara.

In 2011, IST started collaborating with Total Madagasikara to develop a training program for road runners. During 32 training sessions, more than 50 truck drivers and logistics managers of the Brewery will improve their skills in driving and road safety to reduce the risk of accidents.
