The civil society’s coalition is still struggling to convince parties and political spheres to get a move on and take part in the national dialog process dimmed to be the Malagasy crisis’ new settlement basis. As a reaction to some criticisms against its own pending division in the run of the mediation process, the civil society is displaying unity in preaching the consensus related example. « If the civil society is expecting to reconcile the others, its own members have to do so between each other as first », conceded Tsilavina Ralaindimby, the coalition’s providential reinforcement. « there is free entry for whatever civil society group willing to contribute », it added.
The starting process will be a long one. The Rajoelina sphere underwent an umpteenth setback when conceding that the regional conferences were unilaterally imposed although their results still have passionated defenders claiming them as gains from the popular movement. The civil society’s new mediators of the civil society do not have it this way. « With the preliminary talks (« dinika santatra « ) the ideas that we are going to collect will serve as a starting point to the king size dialog addressed to the whole of the people burdened by the crisis on a day basis », explained Tsilavina Ralaindimby, member of the organization committee.
The undesirable international mediators?
On the national television channel, the former Communication Minister defended the civil society’s neutrality in the idea collection concerning the country’s future political orientation. « Producing ideas is not our prerogative, we are collecting and are in no way buyous », he confirmed. However, reluctance from the opposition’s joint three spheres is remaining as the largest hurdle. Tsilavina Ralaindimby defended the Malagasy mediation and argued that the international community’s efforts are making issues more complicated as they are. He subsequently proposed the interrogation of simple citizens as a compliance with the required inclusion. « When the society’s general mobilization will be acquired, the international community’s position » are going to be altered it with optimism ».
The diplomacy used by the civil society’s coalition is diametrically opposed to the HAT and the Rajoelina sphere’s aggressiveness. The » fake senators » are pressuring the Vital government in order to enforce a boycott of the international Contact Group’s moves, up to calling upon an ban on Joachim Chissano’s potential trip to Madagascar. The SADC mediator is being accused of being responsible for the crisis’ extension for supportingRavalomanana against Rajoelina.
This attack against the international community’s influential members in the Malagasy file is also led against Louis Michel. The European commissioner, famed from being one of president Ravalomanana’s long time friend is making the travel in order to assess the situation on the ground by himsel. The HAT reactions are simply extremist. « Is Louis Michel coming to notice how many Malagasy died out of from the European sanctions which he enforced? », declared Jacky Tsiandopy. « A murderer always recovers his crime’s scene « , satirized a press group supportive of Andry Rajoelina. The HAT can hold his goals for granted through the 100% Malagasy solution in which the emotional side is systematically taking the upper hand on the political and diplomatic logic.
The civil society's coalition and the Réimandrenies mijoro are playing the clock. Basically empowered by the HAT leader in order to organize the national dialog, the new Malagasy mediators are finding it hard to establish any genuine consensus. Convincing each and everyone to integrate the process is the mother of all priorities. The HAT lets it flow and displays so much evidences of hostility against any further international intervention that both Joaquim Chissano and Louis Michel might be banned before long in Madagascar.
