State police investigations: a way to pressure opponents

One day after the oppostion’s demonstrations which actually did intimidate the HAT because of their simple successfull completion, Betongolo’s state police services, a compulsory stopover for opponents, convoked Fetison Andrianirina and Lalatiana Ravololomanana, without any established incentive. Both opponents were ordered to provide explanations concerning demonstrations and the alleged troubles of October 18th, 2010

« In quality of this country’s political responsibles, we are assuming our own acts », replied Fetison Andrianirina prior to entering the Emmo-Reg’s office. He actually merely hinted that the convocation was related to October 18th’s events. « It was a gathering of our political supporters casted in Ambohijatovo following a 10 minutes long speech authorized by the police forces », he said.

The HAT is desperately straining to indict and condemn Fetison Andrianirina, but the man still remains a free political leader. Many more partisans than expected joined Anosy to support the indicted individuals trialed in the makeshift explosive devices case, one of the HAT pressure means. Fetison Andrianirina defended the opposition’s three political sphere’s contestation as following. «  They feared a political trial, it’s a very normal reaction. Doubts are allowed when a neither legitimate to legal authority is ruling ».

The state police’s convocation is merely a matter of preemptive inquiry, prior to a potential deeper investigation. Neither Lalatiana Ravololomanana nir Fetison Andrianirina are looking any intimidated by this Emmo Reg’s umpteenth action against politicians. There was no indictement

No one knows yet either on which account was this apparently randomly singled out individual arrested. Was it really to protect him from mobs, as pretended by colonel Ravalomanana? or was it on state security concerns?. Whatever demonstration opposing the ruling power is now being prohibited, Amen. Any jaywalking attempt is considered as a crime against the state, and quickly repressed by the HAT and the Emmo Reg, just another way to cover the core issue up: a 22 months old crisis.
