Cure against AIDS: the Malagasy herbal practionner thrown behind bars!

What is the most incredible but true? A Malagasy citizen succeeding in finding a cure against AIDS? or watching the same citizen being thrown behind bars? At least, the case is real, as proved by the herbal practioner’s detention. The issue obviously concerns the formula containing the scientific composition of a remedy made from 9 of Madagascar’s endemic plants, aiming at removing the HIV virus from blood and cells. In this conflict, Jean Giuliano Nicol Ramarovahiny is opposed in Zaraniaina, the first one to have announced the discovery in 1998, to argue of the rights of property intellectual of the discovery. 
  
Both men collaborated on the same project. Zaraniaina failed from getting success from a partnership with laboratories and hospitals in Italy in the remedy’s composition. Jean Ramarovahiny carried on his researches on home soil while setting up a small company named JC Phytopharmacie R&D. Some cases of recovery appeared before confirming the JMAR1 agent’s efficiency through a first clinical test in Mauritius which proved to be a successful milestone. In July 2009, that time’s HAT Healthcare minister recognized the results and gave the authorization to conduct a second clinical test as required by the WHO’s standards.  
 
In between, things went into court since Zaraniaina came back in force to claim the discovery that he triggered and that someone else completed, as his. JC Phytopharmacie R&D has an intellectual property certificate, a patent from the OMAPI. Due to Jean Ramarovahiny’s detention, the clinical test is being jeopardized whereas scores of people living with the HIV in Madagascar spontaneously enlisted as volunteers. In order to proceed over 120 to 200 people, he had to conduct check ups of the JMAR1’s efficiency and tolerance margin by using the same process as those used in Mauritius in respect of required standards. The whole process is being monitored by Professor Mamy Randria, physician.  
 
« The Malagasy people must benefit from this Malagasy cure against HIV/AIDS « , so read  Jean Ramarovahiny’s message stated to the press. As addressing the hardship of globalizing the cure because of the big laboratories’ lobbying, he evoked sanitary tourism as a way to spread the JMAR1 agent. Contrary to Zaraniaina’s team, JC Phytopharmacie R&D received the authorities’s support. This time, there was not anything to say about the scientific process. The flashlights of glory were promised to Jean Ramarovahiny, but the authorities rather locked him up in the dark. He apparently had to be stopped! 
 
« Even though the JMAR1 agent manages to heal all of Madagascar’s seropositives, it will never be worldwide recognized », predicted a specialized center’s physician. Big laboratories would use all of their power to dampen the Malagasy discovery. JC Phytopharmacie R&D received support from associations struggling against HIV/AIDS in France straining to sensitize the French authorities on this discovery’s relevance but Mr. Sarkozy and Mrs. Bachelots are still being playing a deaf ear. The discovery of a cure against AIDS completed by a poor country would be anti-economic, would be depriving superpowers from returns form their billions of dollars and euros spent in research expenses. A treatment against AIDS for less than 100 dollars, simply unthinkable.
