Madagascar’s independence’s 50th birthday celebrations have officially begun. The opposition actively longing for Andry Rajoelina’s exit before June 26th is not invited

Independence’s 50th birthday rang by the division bell

The opening ceremony got a fair share of problems at the organization level, a bad omen for what is supposed to come next

Andry Rajoelina, his governmental staff and the other institution’s leaders were in Andohalo on Saturday, June 5th to open the celebrations

The ceremony began with a one hour long delay. Then, the presentation of the country’s 50th independence day’s logo took place, and Max Exception made his song “Madagasikara mamintsika” public as the celebrations’ anthem

The opposition will not give a damn about the High Authority of Transition led celebrations. Madagascar is part of the African continent’s 17 countries celebration their independence, and part of the scarce ones doing so in the midst of a political crisis. The national day will be the country’s division day unless a political deal comes true before June 26th.
