In Ankorondrano, the Ravalomanana mobility is mobilizing to step pressure up on the authorities of transition and on the Rajoelina mobility. Deputy Stanislas Zafilahy is ringing the alarm bell. « If one refers to the Cotonou agreements, the transition mustn’t be directed by anyone guilty of conducting a Coup », he confirmed.
The Ravalomanana mobility is stressing the public on the impending dangers for the country, could it break its word. Breaking off from the international community for internal political reasons only serves a minority.
On the other side, the Rajoelina mobility, the army command and the Forces of Change are lining up on the same position: to maintain the Rajoelina-Monja Roindefo couple on top of the transition. Magro is uprising. « The Maputo agreements are laws to be literally implemented so that the street protests originated Coups never happen again in Madagascar », emphasized deputy Zafilahy.
The legalistic movement has definitely recovered strength and relevance from Maputo II. Constant Raveloson even emerged from his hideaway, in which he’s been hiding after a personal conflict with CNME commanders Charles and Lylsons, the main figures of the transition, now on top of a very special task force. The MFM militant sensitized the youths and the workers so that they don’t accept to be usurped and victimized by the current holders of power.
The legalistic pro-Ravalomananas are planning to mobilize the tax free enterprises’ employees to defend their livelihood, since they are risking unemployment in case of the AGOA market loss. Deputy Zafilahy assured although, that demonstrations would be confined in the Magro square. « We don’t incite the population to mess around; if we come out of here, young mercenaries paid to break the movement are going to take advantage of it », he stated with pragmatism.
On Friday, neither resolution nor big decision has been taken in the Magro square. The legalistic side is remaining prudent but well entrenched on its position. Entrusting the direction of the transition to top officers of the armed forces is better than having a « putschist » legitimized on top of the country.
The three other mobilities failed to respond favourably to the unwilling call made by Andry Rajoelina to integrate the de facto transition. The pro-TGV tried to induce some young politicians to turn the back to the trio of former and « old » presidents and, by so doing, display a virtual consensus.
