Maputo II, Andry Rajoelina opened but closely supervised

The de facto transition’s chief is trying to remind that he is actually the country’s strong man, and that the others are only collaborators. Andry Rajoelina pretends to be opened to collaboration, on behalf of good faith and patriotism. « I won’t be able to work with people who are intending to create problems « , he said. 

For the one who snatched power in March 2009 by street protests and with the help of militaries, the most important concern is not the percentage of seats acquired in the new transition’s different institutions, but the other mobilities’ will to propose people ready to work for the country. 

Beyond « the unacceptable collaboration with unrest creators », Andry Rajoelina is warning guard the opponents. « I am not going to tolerate any questioning of the transition « , he warned. Patriotism is the criteria or the pretext evoked by Andry Rajoelina to accept or to refuse figures to be authorized to integrate the same household as the TGV . 

The president of the HAT is using the stakes to justify the presence of his political allies in his delegation for Maputo II. He needs Monja Roindefo because the institutions and the role distribution are going to be discussed. « Some structures might be altered, therefore he is going to speak on behalf of the government », explained Andry Rajoelina. 

The HAT is represented by Alain Ramaroson. His niece and population minister Nadine Ramaroson will also be part of the journey beside Rajoelina, convinced that she is going to be the spokeswoman of the… population…, and to justify the struggle for change. The presence of representatives of the pro-TGV civil society can also be noticed. 

For the observers, the allies of Andry Rajoelina want to stem the tide of concessions made at the time of Maputo I, and to limit the de facto transition’s regime’s losses. The young wolf has been devoured by the dinosaurs. The chief of the transition doesn’t dare to enter the arena on his own any more. « Everyone has something to put forward, a cause to defend, the whole delegation must take part into the discussions… », insisted Andry Rajoelina. « …everyone but whoever is afraid of his mobility members », he hinted. 

The allies of the HAT, concentrated in what they call the Forces of Change, have successfully convinced Andry Rajoelina to avoid the close combat on his own against the other mobility chiefs. The young chief of the transition is even militating to make proceedings public. « Whatever the Rajoelina mobility says should be displayed live », he proposed. Nobody will be able to accuse it of not defending its supporters’ cause. 

The Rajoelina mobility is coming to Maputo « to defend ideas ». The chief of the first transition is considering that he has already conceded much at the time of Maputo I, as having been scolded by his allies. « We will find out what will we be able to tolerate », he said. However he believes that the crisis won’t be tackled unless everyone makes concessions.
