TGV Toamasina: hard to find a candidate

To be or not to be heading for elections ? that is the question since deadlines are successively advanced, then postponed, according to Andry Rajoelina’s will. Toamasina city’s TGV is anyway getting ready for them, meetings are popping up back and forth, press conferences are taking place almost on a weekly in order to display an illusion of well being to the people.

But the elections’ preparation is underway. Toamasina’s TGV are now wandering around in search of potential candidates. It will finally be presenting Mrs Irmah, the party’s national secretary for Toamasina’s province, as its deputy candidate. However, many voices are still rising against such a choice since Mrs Irmah is being rated as not popular enough in Toamasina. The TGV party has, besides, strained to seduce another strong association leader, who finally turned down the offer to sail under TGV colors. In the end, the party is definitely as concerned as the ones to be its pending candidates because none of them are cheered by the population

Somehow, the TGV is being accused of fooling the dices with an aggressive corruption strategy: in July 2009, the inhabitants of Andranomadio 11/43 Toamasina officially accused the TGV of recruiting members home by home. The process would still be on progress.

As for the MTS party( Roland Ratsiraka), rumors are still granting the party’s candidacy to Maso Jose Michel, a previous parliamentarian of Toamasina
