Bad welcome for the UAO mission of mediation

This reached such a  proportion for the delegation members of
this new mission that when they leaved Ambohitsorohitra Residence on
Thursday after having met Marc Ravelomanana, they have been shouted
down by the population.

The reasons of this disillusion for Antananarivo inhabitants are
first the failure in the previous mission of mediation and after
Didier Ratsiraka  ” stubbornness” who refused to
listen to the street voice and induced Marc Ravelomanana to proclaim
him as President of Republic. The political men who actually surround
Marc Ravelomanana as well as the thousands of persons who have
invested him refuse to hear talking about elections.” A big
step” would have been done during Marc Ravelomanana’s nomination
and overall after the new government invest the ministries. Then,
talking of a new election to Marc Ravelomanana ‘s supporters is
simply an aberration.

For the new president who has indisputably, at least at
Antananarivo the reins of power, if a negociation has to take place,
it must be centered around Didier Ratsiraka’s departure.

“Popular actions gains are not negociable” advise simply
Marc Ravelomanana ‘s supporters because the balance between the two
parties is in anyway in favour of capital Lord maire, invested
President of Republic. On Didier Ratsiraka’s side they show a such
goodwill to follow the negociation process and even it would seem
that they press up on the discussions results like it was the case
during UAO first mission in order to gain some space and furthermore
some time. But today, we have to recognize that the dialogue is in
neutral. UAO delegation met the two concerned persons but we are far
away from a compromise according some unofficial sources. The same
mission, themself is not talkative on the discussions development.

Forecasted sign, without doubt from a pitfall to an eventual
compromise except if Didier Ratsiraka agrees to negociate his
definitive departure from the power circle.
