SADC led mediation: towards a roadmap supporting the HAT´s imposed facts

The SADC´s action has turned into a boost for the Malagasy made solution. “We believe that a consensus is possible”, declared Leonardo Simao. The mediation team has, according to him, met no hurdle, and confirmed its will to cooperate with the political class. The SADC´s delegation has so far never been remaining very long on Malagasy soil. Dr. Simao and his staff have visited each and every political group for the sake of patching a final solution up.

The Rajoelina sphere and the dictating power have been reconsidering their very hostile attitude towards the SADC since the UN decided that the HAT would be allowed to represent Madagascar. Rajoelina has won his bet enforcing validation of a putsch through the misuse of a democratic mean, although the African Union previously warned that such a process would not lead to international recognition. Madagascar is in its transitional republic led by Antananarivo´s elected mayor since December 06th 2010.

There is however still some way to go before Rajoelina turns into a real president. Jailing opponents and personalizing the constitution is not enough. A clean transitional end must be reached. The SADC got promises of openness to be granted to whoever buys the TGV mindset, though the HAT is certainly not keen on giving up its grip on institutions.

The TIM party´s renegades who joined the TGV ranks do not want their leader Raharinaivo Andrianantoandro to leave his position to Mamy Rakotoarivelo, the genuine TIM party´s general secretary and the Ravalomanana sphere´s number two since Fetison Andrianirina´s jail sentence.

The Ravalomanana, Ratsiraka and Zafy spheres are however not bound to buy the HAT´s faked openness deemed to snatch international credit. Mamy Rakotoarivelo is definitely targeting the congress´ presidency, Tantely Andrianarivo is not willing to be a puppet with the prime minister´s title and Zafy Albert is still longing for the national reconciliation committee´s presidency, although all of these positions are being controlled by the Rajoelina sphere.

Which aspect will be that of the SADC´s roadmap deemed to be pledged by the international community? Dr. Simao hinted that unanimity would potentially not be required in the choice of the ultimate solution. The Rajoelina sphere is precociously celebrating victory when holding for granted that the other spheres have stepped out by themselves. The erection of a consensual government is in no way a done deal though, since general Vital is equally willing to remain on track.
